I'm a dad with a kid, a garage, and an unreasonable number of bricks. Send us a short video of your house and we'll turn it into a model you actually get to build. You see the design before you pay for anything.
It's genuinely simple, and the part that matters most is that you get to look before you spend.
A street address, a listing link, or a handful of photos will get us started. If you can manage a slow walk-around video, even better, that's what makes the model accurate. I'll tell you exactly what to film below, it takes about a minute.
Your house gets rebuilt brick by brick on a 32 by 32 base. Roofline, window spacing, the porch, the chimney, that one crooked dormer. Then we check the whole thing so nothing floats and nothing collides, because a model that falls apart mid-build is a bad evening for everybody.
We send you a picture of the finished design. Tell us what's off and we fix it, one round of changes is included. Nothing is charged until you're happy with it. If it's not right at all, you walk and you owe nothing.
Full kit shows up sorted and bagged by stage with a printed booklet, or the digital plan lands in your inbox as a PDF with the parts list. Either way, you get an evening at the table with something to show for it.
This is the single most useful thing you can give us, and it costs you about a minute of walking around your own house.
Stand across the street or back far enough that the whole house fits in frame, roof included. Phone held sideways if you can. Walk the whole way around slowly, and pause for a few seconds on each side so we can actually see it.
Don't zoom, don't add music, don't worry about looking professional. Daylight helps. A boring, steady video is perfect. Drop it in Google Drive or iCloud and paste the link in the form below. All you've got is a Zillow link? Send it and we'll work with it.
One product, done properly. We're not going to sell you a knife block or a phone stand. Every order gets the same real design work on the same base size, checked so it actually builds.
Houses, cabins and other buildings are our bread and butter. Pets and one-off landmarks we quote separately, because that's a different puzzle and we'd rather be honest about it than guess.
Same design work either way. The only question is whether we hunt down the parts or you do.
Almost always it's a house that's about to belong to somebody else. Sometimes it's a cabin, a church, or the shop a family ran for thirty years. Same idea every time: it existed, and you'd like it back on a shelf.
Parents moved out, keys changed hands. Now it's a thing you can actually hold.
New keys, new build. Beats another bottle of wine, and we say that as people who like wine.
Bad kitchen, good memories. Anniversary, new home, or both at once.
The house somebody grew up in, or the one they shared for forty years. Something quiet to keep.
Thirty years at one address, then a smaller place. The old one doesn't have to disappear.
The lake place. The camp. The building that never shows up on a listing but everyone in the family knows.
We're new at this and we're not going to fake a portfolio. Finished builds go up here as they get done. The first ones are being designed right now, which is also why you're getting a fair price.
Want to see what's on the bench before you order? Just ask in the form and we'll send whatever's in progress that week.
Takes about three minutes. We'll come back to you within a day, usually faster, and tell you what we still need.
Real building bricks, new and used, and everything is compatible with the major brands including LEGO. We're not affiliated with or endorsed by any brick maker and we don't pretend to be. Some of the bricks are brand new, some had a previous life in somebody else's collection. Both work the same.
Then you don't pay for a kit. One round of changes is included in the price and that usually sorts it. If it still isn't right, say so and we'll stop, no charge and no hard feelings. We'd rather lose the order than build you something you don't want.
Faithful, not a survey. Roofline, proportions, window layout, porch, chimney, and whatever details you point out. There are real piece limits, so a five-window wall might become four. Anything we simplified gets called out in the design we send you, so nothing is a surprise later.
Design and approval is usually a few days, depending on how many builds are ahead of you. Then sourcing and sorting parts, which is the slow part, call it one to two weeks. Full kits need to be ordered by December 10 for Christmas delivery. Digital plans can go right up to December 22.
The PDF plan is the instructions and the parts list. You order the parts yourself or build from what you already have. It's $139 and it's a good deal if you're the kind of person with sorted bins in the basement. The full kit is $349 plus shipping, and it's every brick, sorted into bags by build stage, with a printed booklet, so you can just sit down and build.
Yes, and it's a great place to start. Listing photos usually skip the sides and the back of the house though, so for the final design we'll either want a walk-around video or a fresh set of photos. We'll tell you exactly which angles we're missing.
Ask first and you'll get an honest number instead of a guess. Shipping internationally is doable, it's just not something we want to promise blindly.
Two of us. I'm the dad, I do the design work and the ordering. My kid helps with sorting and quality checking, which mostly means telling me when something looks wrong, and being right about it. Everything is designed at our kitchen table, not in a factory.
No charge until you approve a design. Here's exactly how ordering, shipping, changes and refunds work. Last updated November 3, 2026.
Every build starts with a design, and we send it to you as a picture. You pay for the build only after you approve that design. A reply saying "approved" is enough. That's what starts production.
If a deadline is at risk because of something on our end, you hear it from us before the deadline, not after. Then you choose: wait, switch to the digital plan, or cancel for a full refund.
Every kit gets packed by hand and checked against the parts list. If something's missing or shows up cracked, tell us within 30 days with a photo and we'll ship the replacement at our cost. Please don't mail us a single brick, that's just postage for everybody.
New and used authentic building bricks, sorted by build stage, with a printed instruction booklet, on a 32x32 base, about 800 to 1,200 pieces. Bricks are compatible with the major building-brick brands. Built in Brick is not affiliated with, sponsored, or endorsed by any brick manufacturer. Designs are faithful to your photos rather than survey accurate, and anything we simplified is flagged in the design you approve.
Email build@builtinbrick.com. One of us reads it, usually the same day. If something's wrong with an order, that address is the fastest way to fix it.
